Ms. Samonica Grant R.TCMP, R.Ac
Samonica Grant is a passionate advocate for holistic health and wellness, driven by a lifelong fascination with the healing power of nature. Growing up in an environment that appreciated and strongly encouraged the use of herbs and natural remedies, Samonica’s curiosity led her to experiment with crafting her own creations, from natural handmade soaps, to face masks and hair treatments. As her curiosity deepened, she began to have an interest in how the human body works as well as the remarkable properties of plants and how these could be used medicinally. This eventually led her to pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in life science with a minor in Plant biology from the University of the West Indies Mona, solidifying her foundation in biological sciences.
While Samonica initially contemplated a path in research and western medicine, she started to learn more about Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) eventually realizing its profound alignment with her vision. This caused her to enroll in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner program at Humber College where she successfully completed her diploma in 2022. Samonica’s holistic perspective on health is rooted in her belief that prevention is paramount. She holds a strong conviction in the body’s ability to heal itself and emphasizes the importance of nurturing this natural capacity. Samonica’s mission is to aide her patients in harnessing this self-healing capacity while guiding them towards a state of optimal wellbeing.
Her treatments are a harmonious blend of traditional medicine and contemporary knowledge. Samonica’s approach encompasses a range of modalities, including acupuncture, tui na massage, cupping, gua sha, and electroacupuncture. With a keen understanding of the interconnectedness between physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, Samonica is committed to addressing the complete spectrum of her patients’ overall health.

Emily Tratt CTCMPAO Student Acupuncturist #7931
Emily is a dedicated advocate for whole-person health and wellbeing with a deep appreciation for Traditional Chinese Medicine and its emphasis on the body’s innate capacity to heal. Her interest in TCM stems from a long-standing fascination with the body’s natural ability to restore balance and maintain health. She is inspired by its preventive, root-cause approach and its focus on supporting long-term health and wellbeing. Guided by curiosity and compassion, she is committed to understanding each patient’s unique health needs and supporting their path toward improved health and harmony.
A recent graduate of the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Program at Eight Branches College of Eastern Medicine, Emily’s education provided a strong foundation in TCM, combining in-depth theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical training. This experience further expanded her clinical understanding, adding new tools, insight, and depth to her approach to patient care. With a background as a trained chef, she developed a strong understanding of the role of food and nutrition in supporting both physical and mental wellbeing. As a yoga teacher, she also guides students in connecting with their bodies, encouraging rest, awareness, and self-inquiry. She is committed to continued learning and ongoing development as a practitioner, with particular interests in women’s health, fertility, postpartum care, food therapy, stress management, and facial rejuvenation.
Emily’s personal journey into TCM began at a young age, after experiencing chronic acne and gut-related concerns. After exploring multiple treatment options without lasting results, she found that acupuncture and herbal medicine offered meaningful support. With a focus on digestive health, stress regulation, and supporting healing from within, she began to experience meaningful shifts in her overall wellbeing. This experience led to a deeper recognition of how closely TCM reflects the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, ultimately guiding her toward this path of medicine. Her approach to care is practical, individualized, and rooted in meeting each patient where they are. She draws from a range of TCM modalities, including acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, tui na massage, electroacupuncture, and food therapy, tailoring treatments to support each person’s unique needs. These are complemented by supportive lifestyle guidance, such as movement and self-care practices, to help patients feel empowered and actively involved in their healing process. Her goal is to create a calm, welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and cared for throughout their wellness journey.
